Angelina Jolie had thought that beau Brad Pitt would be a lot like the self-absorbed stars in Hollywood, and readily admits that her impression of him was wrong. Jolie reveals to a magazine that she had never picked Brad to be the kind of person who would be interested in politics, or helping other people, or would even make a good father.

However, she realised just how badly she had judged him soon after they started working on Mr and Mrs Smith. "I wouldn't have, from a distance, said, ‘That's a man who would be an amazing, dedicated father,' or ‘That's a man who truly loves helping people or whom I'd love to talk politics with.' He's a lot more than people assume he is," she said. And the actor has certainly been one of her rocks, especially after she lost her mother earlier this year. Jolie reveals that Brad helps her overcome periodical dark moments in her life by listening to her, and giving her ‘wonderful advice'. "I've had that problem in my life, where if I get emotional, I tend to just go and sit by myself. But he is a great listener, and he has given me wonderful advice," she says. ANI
